Heat Stroke, by Emily K. Harrison

An actor, writer, director, producer, and Founding Artistic Director of award-winning, Boulder-based square product theatre, Emily K. Harrison was born and raised in the pine forests and oil fields of East Texas, where she enjoyed swimming lessons in the summer and reading Nancy Drew books year round. Emily holds an M.F.A. in Performance from the Savannah College of Art & Design and a Bachelor’s in Acting and Writing from Boston’s Emerson College. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Colorado, where she also serves as a part-time instructor. She serves as staff and occasional faculty at Naropa University. Most recently Emily appeared as Annemarie Antoinette Toi-Toit in square product theatre’s original, ensemble created musical freak-out Songs of Meat & Cake. She has done all sorts of things all over the place, usually very awkwardly and with glorious moments of complaining and panic.
