ANDREW LEVY'S BIO

TRICKHOUSE VOLUME FOURTEEN
DOOR SIX, CURATED BY CHARLES ALEXANDER
TORNADO POEM
BY ANDREW LEVY

Let stand 30 minutes.

The State of Michigan spends annually somewhere between $30,000 and $40,000 per prisoner,
yet we are struggling to provide schools with $7,000 per student. I guess we need to treat our
students like they are prisoners, with equal funding. Please give my students three meals a day.
Please give my children access to free health care. Please provide my school district Internet
access and computers. Please put books in my library.

Please give my students a weight room so we can be big and strong.

Principle: images against images, thoughts against thoughts.

At first glance, the scene is reminiscent of Joseph Beuys. A stuffed rabbit sits on the altar, the
word "Flux" is printed on a banner, and a grimacing deity with an erect penis hangs
on the wall. At second glance, however, it's the curious blending with the obvious. Behind
the altar is a tall stool that looks like a tennis referee's chair, next to it is a hospital bed,
X-rays are attached to a light box.

"If we promise each other that we can express any idea, no matter how idiotic (without feeling
embarrassed about it, although embarrassment also has a great deal of production value),
then I would very much like to say YES."

Laberenz jumped in and traveled to Venice. It had always been clear to both women
that there was no turning back.

It was stolen from us.
Some people don’t want to have it.
Why did they change their mind?
In a democracy everybody cannot be happy,
there are winners and there are losers.
Together we will help us each other enjoy our last season in our paradise...

“Despite misery and affliction.”
